Prayer Line… Your Servant is Listening

Good morning! This morning on the Prayerline we discussed “Your servant is listening” 1Samual 3:1-10. The meaning of Listening: give one’s attention to sound; take notice of and act on what someone says; respond to advice or a Request. Meaning of Respond: to say something in return, making answer. Question: Are you listening and Responding to the voice of God? If so how are you hearing him? Is it through the sound of thunder, is it through an earthquake is it through the fire? Or is it through a small still voice? John 10:3-5 says “The gatekeeper open the gate for him, and the Sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own Sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” Its time to stop having itching ears; ears that hear what they want to hear; ears that only hear what feeds the flesh! Its time to stop and take time, effort and focus to hear the voice of God. Ps. 46:10″Be still and know that im God”. He has some instructions to give to his sheep. Some instructions that a Pastor, Prophet, Apostle, or a Mega Conference can not give to you. Turn on and Tune into what God wants to say to you! It will benefit your well being as well as anything that is connected to you! Be Bless and know that He is God!!

      • Thank you so much for your prayers! I can’t believe that I had an hour long surgery yesterday, under general anesthesia. I had no complications, no negative reaction to the anesthesia, and so far I am 100% pain free. And I haven’t even taken a Tylenol. Wow! A friend who had this type of surgery told my husband that the pain afterward was nearly unbearable. Online searches told me the same thing. The surgeon, the prep nurse, even the anesthesiologist told me I would probably have significant pain afterward, and to be sure to take the prescribed pain meds. But so far I haven’t needed to take even one!

        Yesterday morning before the surgery I woke up with a song that I have heard on K-Love playing in my head: “The joy of the Lord will be my strength, when the pressure is on He’s making diamonds”. I woke up from a dream about that song again today. Our God is SO GOOD!

        Whether we are miraculously healed so that we don’t need surgery, as our pastor’s wife had prayed for, or whether we have to undergo surgery — whether we have pain, or we don’t have pain — the joy of the Lord will be our strength, if we allow Him to be on the throne of our life, and He will work all things together for our good. For our Lord is a good and mighty God, all the time. God’s got you, and God’s got me, all the time!

        The surgeon told my husband that he “biopsied everything” but that nothing looked very alarming. We should have the results in about a week.

        Regardless of what the biopsy report says, the joy of the Lord is my strength and God’s got me!

      • Amen!!! Hallelujah! Nobody but God! Won’t HE do it! I’m glad the surgery went well and that you have no pain! I’ll be praying for you! You have a testimony and I thank you for sharing it with me!
