The Invasion

In the middle of the night, while I slept, someone broke into my car.

They were in there 3 minutes. A whole 3 minutes of my privacy was invaded. For me, that feels like a life time. I just watched the video of the horrific event. I can see the person going thru my car and sifting thru my belongings. If that wasn’t bad enough, there is the flash of light that confirms a picture was taken perhaps on a cell phone.

Invasion of my things. Invasion of my peace and my tranquility. Invasion of my space.

I’m angry. This is just one more thing that will change me.

  1. I don’t “like” but I relate. That happened to me once, years ago. No video, but they left all kinds of evidence, stole a radio and some other stuff, and set fire to the contents of my glove compartment. Police dusted for fingerprints, but they apparently wore gloves. Luckily the fire died quickly without burning much, but I hated that car after that.

Yes, it is a violation. It’s evil. I hate that this happened to you.

    • Thank you for your validation of my experience and what I’m feeling. Its a shame that some people have nothing else to do than break-in to other people’s things. It’s more than the act of being robbed that stays with you… it’s the violation of “me”. For someone who was violated as a child it’s just another reminder of just how unsafe the world is. Thank you again for supporting me. Much love 💕🙏🏽
