Don’t be double minded

  • James 1:6-8″That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does”.

How many times have you said God’s got me .. only to turn around when life gets hard and the doubts take over.

As someone who’s lives with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. There have been battles. Battles within myself. Struggling to know for certain that I was loved, that I matter, that I’m important.

Oh, but for the Glory of God… His WORD is true, and it saves. It comforts me. It reassures me.

It is clear that God’s got me. HIS WORD says so:

  • Isaiah 41:10″So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.
  • Matthew 6:25-26″Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink or about your body, what you will wear…. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” .

I wish to encourange you today. Stand on HIS WORD. It is more reliable than any insurance policy, law, political canidate, friend, or family member.

Discouragement comes… but know that God’s promises remain true for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

He promises:

Salvation: God promises salvation to all who believe in his son, Jesus Christ.

Comfort: God promises comfort during trials, and that all things will work out for good for his children.

Strength: God promises to strengthen people, and to help them when they are tempted.
Protection: God promises to protect people from harm, and to be with them when they pass through difficult times.

Other promises: God also promises to answer prayers, take care of people’s needs, and give them freedom from sin and addictions.

Come on … you can do it. STAND AND DONT LOOK BACK!
