Good morning! This morning on the prayerline. We talk about “The Bread of Life” John 6:27,32-58; Matthew 7:7-8;Deuteronomy 8:3. The Bread of life. That’s an unusual statement. They are not your everyday words what does bread of life mean? It seems the bread of life has the meaning bread that gives life. If we back up to verse 27 “The Lord urges the people don’t work for food that perishes, but work for the food that would never disappear, but that leads to eternal life. It is believed that life means Eternal life and that the bread of life is pointing to the food that will never disappear but that leads to eternal life. In the Old Testament, God miraculously nourished, energized, and sustain his people’s physical bodies by sending Manna From Heaven each morning, but he reminded them that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord does Man live. When I saw this scripture it made me look at how God was sending Manna From Heaven in the physical form to meet the hunger of the people but then he let them know that physical bread is not the only thing that’s going to keep you! so God stop giving them that physical bread and he started giving them that manna from on high that was spiritual; that word that he’s speak from his mouth, that word that’s going to keep us, that word that’s going to give us Eternal life, that word that is going to illuminate through us when we need it in our dark moments, that word that becomes light unto us! He had to let the people know that you just can’t live by “Physical bread(looking at TV ministries, youtube preaching, word of the Day, even Motivational scripture of the day”; these are tools that helps us) But thats not enough! He wants you to learn to get into your word for yourself ! To seek a scripture that He wants to speak to you! Today Christ is inviting you right now by saying “I AM the Bread of Life. Come to me and you will never hunger or thirst again but you must believe!
