Good morning! Oh how Sovereign is our God! Today on the Prayerline we discussed “The Sovereignty of God” Rev. 21:6; Col. 1:16; Ro. 11:33; 2 Corith. 3:16-17;Jer. 32:17; Ps. 103:19. Sovereign means: a supreme ruler, especially a monarchy; superior; greatest; authority; ruler and independent of others. But the best to describe God’s sovereignty is “God is in Control”. There is absolutely nothing that happens in the universe that is outside of God’s influence and authority. As Kings of King and Lord of lords, God has no limitation. There aren’t even words to describe just how great he is in our lives. In all his majesty he continually provide for me! there just isn’t nothing that he can’t do. How many of us has seen that work before us and all of our situations and all of our problems and we came to a point to realize that he’s bigger than all our problems and every situation? there’s nothing too hard for our Sovereign God. When you think about the story of how he stopped the waves in the sea; not only did he just stopped them ;he command the Seas to hold their peace! Wow! If he can handle the Seas then I know and you know that he can deal with all of our needs. Just as peasants always bow before their King for fear of offending the one who has authority to take their life, God’s sovereignty compels us to Bow before him. God loves Us and wants the Best for us. He can do exceedingly abundantly above all we can imagine or think. That’s what being Sovereign means; being the ultimate source of all Power, Authority, and everything that exists. Only God can make those claims therefore, it’s God’s sovereignty that makes him Superior to all other gods and makes him and him alone, worthy of worship. So today put every situation into God’s capable hands yes you may not know the plans that he has for you but know that his plan is working for your good because he is all-knowing, all wise, all-powerful, and all loving.
